Elore/Solitude - 12.08.109; Solitude is aptly named. Cut off from the federal stargate network in one direction by the chaos of the Syndicate, and in the other by the Amarr Empire's border regions, both commerce and security in the region are difficult undertakings. Outside of a central area where the Federal Navy and CONCORD operate in force, the region is effectively lawless, roamed by pirates and local militias attempting to maintain a semblance of order, and industry and commerce are underdeveloped, fed only by local resources and goods imported by convoys in force and capital ships.

The ethnic and separatist undertones to the similar situation in Placid have tended to focus attention among both friends and enemies in the capsuleer caste on that region, to the detriment of other problems requiring remedy. Consequently, over the weeks since the dispersal of the Brothers of Freedom and the resulting ceasefire in our conflict with CAIN and the APEX Conglomerate, Acheron pilots have been moving to Solitude in force.

As our comrades in the Cyrene Initiative do in Placid, so we seek to do with at least as much success: bolster local anti-pirate forces, support and enhance local markets and industry, and secure supply lines to core Federal space.
